ARTICLE VI - Committees
A) Executive Committee: Within 48 hours of the annual election of Officers
and Directors, the new Board will meet. At that time, the President shall
appoint committee Chairpersons, with the exception of the Nominating Committee,
and Financial Audit Committee, and establish meeting dates.
B) Special Committees: Special committees shall be appointed and discharged
by the President from time to time as authorized by the Board of Directors.
C) Membership Committee: This committee's duties shall be to solicit new
members and to follow up with delinquent or inactive members.
D) Nominating Committee: A nominating committee shall be appointed each
year at the Association's fall membership meeting to nominate one or more
candidates for the positions up for election.
E) Legislative Committee: This committee will be responsible to author,
review, critique, and report to the Association membership on proposed
rules and/or legislative changes.
F) Training Committee: This committee will prepare and coordinate the
training sessions sponsored by the Association. The training committee
will present to the Association membership at the Association's fall meeting
an outline of proposed training for the current year. The membership shall
act on the committee's proposals at this membership meeting.
G) By-laws Committee: The President shall appoint a By-laws committee
to review proposed By-law changes. This committee will bring recommendations
to the Board of Directors for its action at any such Board meeting as
deemed appropriate.
H) Standing Committee: The various committee members authorized by these
By-laws will be appointed and discharged by the Association President.
